Head of Ruaa Centre Meets Environmental Peacebuilding Pathways Project Lead at the European Institute of Peace

Dr. Jaklin Mansour Al-Batani, Head of Ruaa Centre for Strategic Studies, Consultations, and Training, met at the Centre’s headquarters with Ms. Suad Al-Salahi, the local project leader of the Environmental Peacebuilding Pathways Project at the European Institute of Peace. The meeting discussed a number of issues related to environmental work and its role in strengthening community partnerships.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Batani provided a brief overview of the Centre’s key activities and programs, including its initiatives in strategic studies, training, and environmental work. She also highlighted the center’s efforts to raise community awareness on environmental issues and biodiversity conservation, including programs focused on protecting sea turtles in the Gulf of Aden.
Dr. Al-Batani further emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration between research institutions and international environmental initiatives, in a way that supports community reconciliation through joint environmental projects that promote sustainability and preserve natural resources.
For her part, Ms. Suad Al-Salahi commended the role played by Ruaa Centre in implementing environmental and awareness initiatives, stressing the importance of expanding cooperation with the center in delivering programs and projects that enhance environmental awareness, contribute to sustainable development, and help build trust among local communities.
The meeting also explored prospects for joint cooperation and the exchange of expertise in environmental and development fields, in a manner that serves environmental priorities and strengthens partnerships between local and international institutions.
